Architect Day: Matteo Thun

Reference in the architecture world and author of inspiring projects, Matteo Thun presents works in Italy, Germany, Switzerland and other countries.

Matteo Thun was born in Bolzano in Italy in 1952. He studied at the Salzburg Academy and graduated in architecture in Florence in 1975, moving to Milan three years later, where he met Ettore Sottsass, who became his business partner.

In 1981 he was co-founder of the Memphis group, design movement that led the events of the 80s. When he left the office he founded the group Thun Studio Matteo Thun in 1984. His name became a reference in the Italian and world architecture, expanding its work to important countries like Germany and Switzerland. With a beautiful career, including numerous awards, beautiful designs, Matteo joined the Hall of Fame in New York in 2004.
