Formed by college friends Gerard Reinmuth, Richard Blythe and Scott Balmforth, the Australian office TERROIR, participates in this new generation of architecture in Australia and beyond to present their work in exhibitions around the world, has garnered awards for its major projects.
Established in 1999 by directors Gerard Reinmuth, Richard Blythe and Scott Balmforth, colleagues and friends of the University. The idea of ??opening the office TERROIR emerged in conversations where they discussed the need for greater emphasis on research and practice of architecture in Australia. The group has grown and today the firm has a team of 25 professionals, including both young designers and experienced architects.

The firm has marked its name in the new generation of Australian architecture participating in the Venice Biennale in 2008, selected Biennale Rotterdam in 2005, in addition to other views in San Francisco and Berlin in 2006. Today besides the Australian offices in Sydney and Hobart, there is a headquartered in the city of Copenhagen, Denmark.
