I am incredibly fascinated by the premise of The Stories We Tell. Ella, 7, has started to ask me a lot of questions about my parents and I realize there are a lot of things I simply can’t answer. And after speaking with my sister, I realize that we both remember our parents quite differently. While I believe that all that Instagramm-ing and Facebook-ing will change how much *my* kids remember of me, as they have a documented trail of things I’ve done and said, there will still be lots of pages missing.

Stories We Tell is a film that excavates layers of myth and memory to find the elusive truth at the core of a family of storytellers. On my list of #must-see-movies.
