Arthurian Knight Bookends

The Perfect Office #121

From the romantic pages of the Arthurian legends come these exquisitely sculpted sentinels who will valiantly guard your treasured literature or the photo albums of your world travels just as they guarded the ivory towers of Camelot. (at 7 Gadgets)

Ghost Stamp / Pen

The Perfect Office #121

An unusually shaped pen complete with an integrated ghost stamp. This ballpoint pen is designed as a modern (and geeky) version of an ancient tradition known as Hanko – which is basically a personal stamp used for official documents – by combining the ergonomic modern design with the stamp. Luke Lamp Co’s Rustic, Handmade Lighting

The Perfect Office #121

You’d never guess, by looking at Luke Lamp Co.’s Etsy offerings, that the incandescent bulb is going extinct. The Mamaroneck, New-York-based company produces a range of Edison-bulb lighting fixtures like the mason-jar-and-rope lamp shown above, made by “painstakingly 6โ€™ of standard rated lamp cord through a 40โ€ length of 3/4โ€ manila rope.” (at Core77)

Fuuvi Bee, the 8mm camcorder

The Perfect Office #121

The Fuuvi Bee apparatus that you see in the picture has no 8mm film in it, and it doesnโ€™t house an iPhone or other type of smartphone. All the film is done digitally, and it has a pretty wimpy resolution of 640 x 480. You can see what a video looks like after the jump. It also does stills at 1280 x 960, and it is noticeably smaller than an 8mm camera. There is also no sound of 8mm motors working. (at Coolest Gadgets)

OLPC Tablet

The Perfect Office #121

Building on its success with laptops designed for developing countries, the One Laptop Per Child project is set to unveil a long-awaited tablet at CES next week. Here’s what you get for $100. The OLPC has been kicking around the idea of a super-affordable tablet for over a year. Originally known as the XO-3, but now dubbed the XO 3.0, the tablet will feature an 8-inch 1024×768 screen with some models also offering a PixelQi 3qi display that mimics E-paper. A Marvell Armada PXA618 chip and 512MB of RAM reside in the tablet’s ruggedized shell and will run either Linux Sugar or Android OS. (at Gizmodo)
